Hello everyone!
I am Moe studying at Yamanashi Gakuin University.
Time gose so fast. It's already 2019!
What did you do on new years day? And how did ou spend on that day?

You may know that 2019 is an important year for Japanese people. This year, the Japanese emperor abdicates and Heisei era will be over on April 30. Not only Japanese people but also 2019 is the biggest year for Kofu. Because, this year is the 500 years celebration of fundation of Kofu.
There was a Tsutsujigasaki castle before Takeda Shrine established. However, you can go back to the day when Yoshinobu (Shingen's father) moved the castle to present day of Takeda Shrine. It has been 500 years since Yoshinobu changed the place. Because of this actuion, Kofu was founded! This is why 2019 is the biggest year for Kofu city!

So, I want to back to today's topic.
Do you know Takeda Shingen?

He is one of the famous poeple in Kofu who lived in Sengoku period.
Today, I would like to introduce about interesting points of Takeda Shrine.

A history of Takeda Shrine is only 100 years. This shrine enshrine Takeda Shingen. It is because this place was used to be a castle which called Tsutsujigasaki yakata.  Actually, it does not have any luck to bring to you but it is a famous shrine in Kofu and a lot of people visit there.

Then, who biult it?
The answer is a progeny of Shingen's wife. The progeny was like "It was a castle and Shingen's wife is our ancient. It brings that Shingen is also our relative. So why not to build a shrine for him, and enshrine Shingen.

From now on, I will tell you some points which you can ne a knowledgeable person!
Q: Where is the actual entranece of the shrine?

or

A: as I said, it was used to be a catsle. An entrance of the castle was the left picture!!
Next, look at this picture.

Next, look at this picture.
It shows a inside view of the castle. You cannot see, but there is a word 曲輪 (kuruwa). It means a room which has a square shape. Apparently, a gate of an entrance was wider than nowadays. But, eventually, a size of a gate was getting narrow. There is a great reason. When a group of enermy came to attack Takeda castle, if the gate is narrow, the enermy need to stop, at the moment, Takeda army were able to attack them.
How smart they are!!

More interesting history and stuff are discovered.
From April, a history museum will open in front of the red bridge (entrance).
I recommnend you to check it!

Did you find interesting thing?  Have a nice day!!
