ENGLISH LANGUAGE KOFU CITY STUDENTS TOUR

 

Hello,

My name is Chigbo (チボ), you can call me Chy (チ). A Nigerian, JICA Scholar, currently running my Doctoral Research Program at the University of Yamanashi, Kofu Campus.

I had the opportunity to attend the Student Tour in Kofu City, together with other international students, organized by the Kofu City Hall Administration. That date coincided with the day of KOFU HAKKOU festival, which made it even more interesting. We visited several exciting places, including the Nojo-ji temple and the Kofu Goldsmith spot, where we had the privilege of resizing our gifted rings.

The highlight of the day’s event for me was that the City Mayor joined us during the event and shared some words of encouragement with the participants. The wonderful lunch and the games that followed created more bonding and networking opportunities with the Japanese and other international students. Experiences like this really cement my view of Kofu city as a city where every corner feels within reach, and every dream has room to grow.
